Button

Problem

Starting point for a Button proposal. Base is the current PDS v2 Button (the PDS v2 reference checkout, branch v2.x), copied unchanged so every existing variant and option is available to build on. What changes is still to be defined.

Existing API (all copied)

  • Variants (10): primary, secondary, subtle, brand, highlight, critical, critical-secondary, reverse, reverse-secondary, link
  • Agentic (new): isAgentic modifier (AI gradient border + gradient working spinner), on primary and secondary
  • Sizes (4): xs, s, m, l
  • displayType: label-only, icon-start, icon-end (+ iconName)
  • States: disabled, isLoading (pulse, label hidden), isWorking (leading Spinner, label kept), disableWhenWorking
  • Extras: tally (primary, secondary, subtle, highlight), statusDot (primary, secondary, subtle), isFullWidth, isSplitButton, tooltipText, buttonType, ariaLabel
  • Layout: .pds-button-group and --inline
